Job Description​​

• · Ensure that staff clean, wash & take care of resident's personal hygiene.

• · Ensure staff treat residents with respect and dignity.

• · Check all residents to see that their needs are being met.

•  Keeping a record of care for all of our residents using the Mobile Care Monitoring system (training will be given).

• · Observe & ensure care staff assist residents using straps, hoist Zimmer frames and use correct lifting techniques.

• · Be responsible for the care of clients with dementia.

• · Distribute medicines correctly.

• · Help organise activities & outings for residents.

• · Help care staff if sickness reduces staff numbers.

•   Manage times for staff refreshment breaks.

• · To be on call 2 days each week.

Training

• · Undertake training for senior staff as & when required.

• · Assist in the training & induction of new staff.

Qualifications

• Provided care: 3 years (Required).

• Supervisory: experience - 1 year (Required).

• NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (Preferred).

• DBS and references required - The Old Vicarage pays DBS Clearance.

Benefits​

• Increment of £0.10 for NVQ 2.

• Increment of £0.15 for NVQ 3.

• A bonus of £2 per hour for exceeding contracted hours.

• 20 pence per mile commuting fuel allowance for journeys over 15 miles.

• Starting bonus of £ 250 (payable after 13 weeks trial period).

• Funding towards college.

• Funding towards driving lessons.

• A uniform is provided.
