Activities at The Old Vicarage

Activities are a fundamental part of our care plans

Activities are a fundamental part of our whole person centred care plan packages.  Our Activities Coordinator continually strives to keep our residents smiling and engaging with activities which are both mentally and physically beneficial.

The activities schedule may include games, creative projects, musical entertainment, visits from four legged friends, tea parties in the garden, walks within the local area, enjoying lunch at a local venue etc.  We also have visits from an Occupational Therapist who specialises in dementia care and provides group activities which are known as

'The Time Travellers'.

We regularly update Facebook and Twitter with photographs of our residents enjoying our activities. To adhere to data protection laws, we request that residents and their family complete a Photo Consent Form.

We also have a private Family and Friends Facebook page which is ideal for those who do not wish to consent to their image being viewed on our public Facebook page.  We like to think that the Facebook pages are a visual diary of our residents just enjoying life in our beautiful South Lakes care home and the surrounding areas.
