Activities Coordinator

If you enjoy making people laugh, organising small events, like creative activities, are a good listener and believe that hobbies are very much an important part of life – then we would love to hear from you!

Our residents very much appreciate sing-a-longs, gentle walks, reminiscing, arts and crafts, good movies, good games, and above all enjoyable conversation with a sprinkling of laughter!

This role most certainly requires excellent social skills and an ability to organise birthday parties and festive and celebration events.

Job Description

• Talking with our residents about what activities they might enjoy.

• Organising activities that are tailored to the needs of individuals, and group activities to bring people together.

• Booking external entertainment.

• Organising transport and trips out in the local community.

• Helping people take part in the activities.

•  Keeping a record of care for all of our residents using the Mobile Care Monitoring system (training will be given).

Qualifications

• No experience is required as training will be provided.

• DBS and references required - The Old Vicarage pays for DBS Clearance.

• Kindness, patience, and compassion.

• Happy and lots of fun!

Benefits​

• Increment of £0.10 for NVQ 2.

• Increment of £0.15 for NVQ 3.

• A bonus of £2 per hour for exceeding contracted hours.

• 20 pence per mile commuting fuel allowance for journeys over 15 miles.

• Starting bonus of £250 (payable after 13 weeks trial period)

• On-site parking.

• A uniform is provided.
