A 'home from home'
Everyone ages. It is an inherent property of life. As our bodies and minds change with advancing years, we adapt by modifying our decisions and actions. The later years of life can be especially challenging and more day to day help is needed.

Selecting a care home is one of the most difficult decisions to make in life. The transition from independent living to residential care requires much readjustment.

Here at The Old Vicarage care home in Allithwaite, which is located on the fringe of the English Lake District, we strive to provide care which enables you or yours to live a life with respect, dignity and above all happiness.

How we can help
The Old Vicarage Care Home in Grange over Sands, provides personalised residential living care plans for people aged sixty-five and over who because of a variety of reasons are no longer able to live at home independently.

We provide care for a range of health conditions and specialise in caring for those diagnosed with dementia.

We provide both long-term and respite care. Respite care packages are ideal for those times, when you or your loved one requires extra help or a short break. These short-term care packages can help with forming a decision as to whether long-term care may be an option.

Testimonials

"It has been an incredibly difficult time for everyone and The Old Vicarage has risen to all the challenges it has faced. My mum has reached the wonderful age of 100 and had two lovely parties and a beautiful birthday cake too. She has been in the care home for nearly 5 years and her care has never caused us a moment of concern. Every member of staff treats her with kindness and respect and she has been nursed through several challenging illnesses. The family will always be so thankful that we chose the Old Vicarage to care for Mum".
